Pretty sure the Total cM is way off since 99cM would be in the range of third cousins, which seems extremely unlikely if not impossible for someone who lived 1000 years ago.

I Believed that this sample was something related with the etruscans, but totally different, I have looked for some information, and they were proto-celts / proto-italics :eek::eek::eek:

Proto-Villanovan culture was part of the central European Urnfield culture system, similarity had been noted in particular with the regional groups of Bavaria-Upper Austria and of the middle-Danube; however, a derivation from the previous Terramare culture of the Po Valley is also hypothesized.Various authors, like Marija Gimbutas, associated this culture with the arrival, or the spread, of the proto-Italics into the Italian peninsula.

The Urnfield culture (c. 1300 BC – 750 BC) was a late Bronze Age culture of central Europe, often divided into several local cultures within a broader Urnfield tradition. The name comes from the custom of cremating the dead and placing their ashes in urns which were then buried in fields. Over much of Europe, the Urnfield culture followed the Tumulus culture and was succeeded by the Hallstatt culture. Linguistic evidence and continuity with the following Hallstatt culture suggests that the people of this area spoke an early form of Celtic, perhaps originally proto-Celtic.

Protovillanovia Martinsicuro
930 BC
R1
mtDNA: [Upgrade to see]
Culture: Protovillanovan
Martinsicuro is a coastal village dating from the Bronze Age located on the Adriatic coast situated on a hill above the Tronto river. A single post-built structure was excavated which contained a rich archaeological deposit of ceramics displaying similiarities to those found in the Balkans (specifically the Nin region in Croatia and Picene in Italy), suggesting direct trade contacts and interaction across the Adriatic. The economy was mostly based on agro-pastoral activities as well as metallurgy and trade.

The Military Hospital of Celio is located in Rome and excavations took place from 1986 to 2000 which revealed archaeological elements from the archaic age up to the 7th century AD. The structures found included dwellings with ground-floor sho[ps, markets and a large aristocratic domus equipped with private baths. The only building investigated in full was the Basilica Hilariana, home of the religious college of the Dendrophori and place of worship of Cibele and Attis. The complex visible today, located at a slightly higher level, dates back to the time of Antoninus Pius.

This is an interesting theory and it makes sense if other balkaners get it too

it's not my theory. they called it Balkanian in the Roman study, because it's autosomally similar to those Delmatian samples. There were some Illyrians mentioned there(see the picture), but i thought that wasn't enough evidence for this exact sample, because modern Spanish and North Italians are also similar to it autosomally, it's a normal mix which could occur at multiple places in the mediterranean independently.

But now with these deep dive matches it seems more likely.

These are my no 1 and no 2 deepdive matches.

This one my dna is 99% closer than other users but my match is a lot less and he is much further down on my deep dive matches.

I presume this means that you can be a closer distance but it doesn't mean because you are closer you will have a deep dive match because my closest top 5 by distance don't have a deep dive match with me.

Does anyone else match late iron age butkara? It says I am top 10 out of 430 users? It can't be right , surely?

But it seems like a brahmin civilization of some sort, surely there are others that match them better? like actual Indian members? I don't know how something like that could have come about.

It's likely an ancient Greek sample.

Recently on Anthrogenica Davidski (Generalissimo) started to tell the truth about MTA... I think everyone here knows who he is.

Some quotes from him for those who think they share something with those ancients.

It's an individual from the Mesolithic, that's why.
You should expect only to share IBD hits that are less than 1cM with such people, and such shared segments are very difficult to detect unless you have full genome sequences and can use rare alleles in your IBD run.

So your IBD results are bullshit.

You can't match an ancient sample at 30 cM. It's impossible.

Not very close, might just mean they don't have a sample closer to you, also the do a large threshold so matches are always way closer.

Those huge cM matches only happen because they probably consider all 2cM+ sects as valid including those with bad SNPs. In fact you can take it with a grain of salt to know which group tends to be closer to you and only this info. A single 10cM segment match put you at 5.x gen distance from someone lol

Anyway, this is mine:

Plus, all my matches are with Roman, Gallo-Roman, Illyrian or Al Andalus:
