I think some people indivisually can pass as Afghans/Pashtuns on one end and levantines on other end but many also look distinctively iranians.

They indeed do look distinctly Iranians. But they may pass as the more Iranian shifted Kurds, honestly, and as well as Mandeans in Iraq.
