Well, Saddam was a racist tyrant who killed many Persians and Kurds during his prime, but the reason why he and his family were ousted from Iraqi power was due on the fact that he did not like Israel which is why the neocons, who are predominately Jewish, had the Americans to bomb Iraq in 2003 in the name of "freedom" and "democracy" which are Orwellian words for subjection and dictatorship under a US puppet like Egypt or Saudi Arabia. Remember, the US also helped the coup of Iran in 1953 and installed a puppet monarchy in Iran..though, the leader of the dynasty was slowly rebelling against the US and Israel later in his years:

They did the same thing in Saudi Arabia as well when the US ousted King Faisal and installed a puppet monarchy that still rules the country to this day.
