Theory that says that acquired abilities, experiences, traumatizing emotions, etc. are genetically transmited. It was developped first by Jean-Baptiste de Lamarck (1744-1829) but totally denied for many years. Nowadays, it seems that new studies agree with that. I'm not an expert. Does someone know more about it ? Thanks !

Interesting topic. Yes I've heard that too.

I firmly believe in it. I believe that some thoughts, ways of thinking, and emotions are genetically passed down. Nobody’s born a blank slate (tabula rasa).

"The parents have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge." It's something written in the Bible. And it's interesting. Judaïsm doesn't believe in hell but that the descendants are punished. What seems to be so would be (under the control and out of the control of a potential god, according his will or not) something mostly genetic. The guiltyness feeling carried by the descendants of criminals. I made a parenthesis concerning a potential god cause I'm not sure it's always fair. For instance : the irrational fears of the descendants of innocent victims. Anyway : an the scale of a nation, a region, a continent, whatever... it can explains a lot of things.
