These results are from mydnaportal ancient Near East calculator.
I’d like to get a few opinions. Can someone please help me understand my ancient Near Eastern results? I was told that my father is Bulgarian, can someone tell me if it shows up in these results? Thanks!

Well you get Bulgaria as closest fit in single popupation sharing so yes it shows. Fit is extremely close.
Your results look fully Bulgarian.
But you should post other calculators focusing on European populations, this one is not the best.
Eurogenes K13 and K15 are.

I’ll check those tonight. Would you mind helping me again once I get those results please? :)

You seem a little bit NW-shifted for a Bulgarian, but I guess your results aren't too atypical for your stated ethnicity. Based on the result you posted above, here's where you (red dot) plot on the K15 PCA:

Can you post your K36 results too? :)

My mums side of the family is welsh and Irish, I don’t know if that would make a difference?

Thanks. It seems like your K36 population similarity map reflects your mixed ancestry better, with your highest match being in Northern Germany:

I’m going to guess that the German is my mums side from one of my grandparents. But from your opinion, what do you think the chances of my father being Bulgarian are? Does it seem likely?

I’m going to guess that the German is from one of my grandparents on my mother’s side. From your own opinion, what would you say the chances of my father being Bulgarian are?

It's possible, but what I was alluding to is that these calculators and their various tools generally tend to pull you more towards a midpoint of your ancestries rather than simply identifying individual pieces of your DNA like an autosomal testing service would. The fact that your midpoint is in Germany would support what you said in your previous post about being half Irish/Welsh, and half Bulgarian. It's hard for me to say for certain whether or not your father is definitely Bulgarian, but based on your results and what you know of your maternal ancestry it seems likely that he's from somewhere in Southeast Europe at least.

Thank you. I understand, it’s not actually 100% known whether he is or not which is why I took the test so I could get an idea. I was speaking with someone else who was saying there was more chance of him being Arab than Bulgarian and it kinda threw me off for a second.

Giving the PCA and results, seems almost impossible that he's an arab. However, that Arabic number at K36 is a bit high, still more runs on different calculators should be made to get any kind of conclusion about a possible arab background.

So the chances of him being Bulgarian are higher than the chances of him being Arab? Which calculators would you recommend? Sorry for so many questions, I hope you don’t mind.
