And the remaining 4.4% is "Central Asia" located in the Volga region. What exactly is that region called on LDNA? With it our results will be complete.

Doesn't recognize my Native American as North Native Amerindian (which ancestrydna finally does) otherwise it's pretty similar with other tests. Overall it's not very accurate as it doesn't account for my French and German ancestry. Perhaps if I make another account with my 23andMe data I might see a different result.

The regions are hilariously bad for me, I have traced my family tree extensively and I know for a fact that I do not have any English, Welsh or Cornish, and I should have more Scottish regions other than just the Highlands, and Northern Ireland should be there too. Total rubbish, glad I didn't pay for it.

Lol, almost surely not. R-M269 has clear Middle Eastern branches. You're probably in the R-Y13369 subclade of R-M269. R-M269 is common in Assyrians. Besides, your YDNA has should have no autosomal impact unless it's indicative of a recent ancestor.

All of my great-grandparents were already Brazilians. My paternal Italian ancestors were my great-great-grandparents. And through my maternal side I have Portuguese ancestors who immigrated from early 19th century from my grandma's side (she is half Italian though) and Italian and Portuguese from my grandfather, 3 of his grandparents were Italian and one was Luso-Brazilian whose ancestors arrived in Brazil by late 18th century or early 19th century.

So most of my ancestors were already Brazilians by 1900.

My results are not really that uncommon to be honest. But they are more common in people from the countryside, like me.

In big Brazilian cities the numbers of fully European people are insignificant, apart from some upper class pockets.

It seems the regionalization fell away, and now all I have are general results. I hope they don't think they will force people to pay more when that feature is available.

I was in the same situation as you with my parents kits. Just reuploaded my mother & father under my kit. We'll see if it works.

Europe: 100%
- Europe (North and West): 26.1%
- Europe (South): 7.1%
- Europe (East): 3.4%
I have 15 regions that are locked.

Anyways, I definitley don't plan on buying the upgrade...haha.

It works best for people with British isles ancestry the other regions were merely tacked on as an afterthought.

Do you think it's worth the $40 to unlock the full ancestry report? I'm kind of tempted to pay that but afraid it's going to give me bullshit results.

Nah, it's probably not particularly accurate. I've seen people report changed results with the same file. Also, the full ancestry was free for a few days (in a sort of unofficial way), didn't impress me.

Didn't realize your comment was old, apologies for the necro. The thread was in my recents.

Definitely worth it for you I'd say (less so for me, lol). I find them to be the most consistently accurate company.

Yeah I hope it will be worth it, I might end up scoring a lot of Broadly WANA which would be באסה אחושרמוטה but I hope it will be fine.
