I think modern females today have much better awareness of skin protection, and females have access in wealthy western nations to lots of beauty creams, more advanced cosmetics than in previous eras, affordable botox treatments and non-invasive surgery, etc.

I think the now 86 year old English actress Joan Collins aged well and looks good for her age... she looks after herself very well.

This is a 2019 interview from 6 months ago (below) with an 85 year old Joan Collins. She has her hair regularly conditioned in spas and salons, eats a healthy diet, does toning exercises, looks after her joints and bones, looks after her figure, brain health, nails, skin, eyes, etc.

She has her hair coloured and styled, and is high-maintenance and makes an effort with her appearance, and I suspect she may have had a few non-invasive nips and tucks done.

An elderly person shouldn't aim to look 21 with overly stretched skin, otherwise they'll just look weird.

Good surgery by highly skilled and very reputable surgeons should be gentle and natural looking and aim to make a person realistically look 5-10 years younger, and appear healthy and well for their age, rather than attempting to make them look like a teen who can't grow-up by overstretching the skin in drastic and bad surgery.

Changing wardrobes and choosing clothing, make-ups, shoes, and soft hair colours and styles that looks natural and good on older people... rather than mature people dressing in clothing or make-up that only looks good on teens. Beauty is not about looking young, but about looking healthy and good for a person's age.
