I will post here maps for some samples from Iceland, including the ones labelled as 100% Norse or 100% Gaelic:

Both descended from Bell beakers but besides that very genetically isolated, Likely in part due to the fact that the Roman empire controlled most of Celtic Europe including the southern half of Great Britain, and after the bell beakers invaded Britain there wasn’t much contact with the outside except for the Bronze Age Atlantic system and the La tene influence. That’s the reason Gaelic evolved so differently at first from Brythonic and Gaulish
