Main one I’m looking for is Habasz. Not my surname but one of my 2-3 generation ancestors. Were Caraptho Rusyns in Romania until about 1911-1912ish then Zakarpattia. Thanks in advance. Yes I know it’s an odd East Slavic name.

I used Ancestry Library (from AncestryDNA) to research my Romanian surname. It's especially good if you have an unusual last name. You do a keyword search of your last name and it looks through all these records. It was a good way to see where people where my surname came from.

A real Transylvanian I see ;). The -sz at the end of the name has thrown me for a loop. Can't for the life of me find out what country has that shit. And like Habasz, tf is that.
