i don't know much about american history but from what i've heard mixed race people or the children of slaves used to try to flush out african heritage by only having offspring with white people due to the whole jim crow thing, could that woman be a result of that?

The 76% European girl who identify as Amerindian is also interesting. Seeing pics of mixed people from USA it's safe to say most of them would be regarded as whites in Latin America. It shows just how different both societies are, even if there's a tendency of ''brazilianization'' of USA.
