to get some nice and relevant results for Europe, which would be the best proxies for:

West Med (Basque/Sardinian?)

East Med (Greek_Crete/Cypriote/Palestinian?)

PaleoBalkan (Albanian?)

Celtic (Irish/French_Brittany?)

Germanic (Dutch/German/Swedish?)

Slavic (Ukrainian/Russian_Voronezh/Russian_Oryol/Belarussian?)

Baltic (Lithuanian/Latvian?)

there's a sampling issue with Moldovan and Romanian - Moldavian ended up more southern than Romanian, which isn't supported by the results I saw of any Moldovan on the internet. so "Romanian" will eat-up all the % for any actual Moldovan that runs this because the Moldovan sample for Global25 is just not real/consistent with actual Moldovan results (dunno where they sampled, maybe southern Moldova or Romanian-mixed Moldovans):

And Geography has nothing to do with Genetics brother, they are no correlated

this average in use with the G25 is not supported by any result of the Moldovans that posted online or by Gedmatch oracles - I think there's an issue with the sampling for this Global25 Moldovan cluster. everywhere else Moldovans are much more Ukrainian-shifted.

Balkan DNA was brought by Vlachs, of course, but in no way Moldovans are more Vlach than Romanians. Moldovans cannot cluster as this "average" for Global25 shows, based on the results of all Moldovans both from Romania and from Rep. of Moldova I saw online. if you didn't see it, then use Gedmatch oracles as reference and you'll see the same - Moldovans approx halfway between Romanians and Ukrainians, not more Balkan than Romanians xD

I get both 32.5% Total, plus Bulgarian 3.33%

your model has (a lot of) overlapping populations, so the result is certainly noisy and can vary a lot if you improve it a bit - it's best to set non-overlapping/non-neighbour populations as components

No. How they are overlapping if they can be differentiate?

If they were genetically overlapping they will be lumped into one cluster 35.83% Romanian for example. But no, this not the case they are separated 35.83% can be separated 19.17% Romanian + 13.33% Moldovan + 3.33% Bulgarian

These are different genetic clusters, if I remove one of these populations my fit will decrease

Moldovans like weirdlookingfellow, Seya and Andre (who is even part Hungarian) are pretty southern shifted. There seem to be genetic variety inside Moldova.
Zmey is lot more northern than them and around Moldovan average on K13 which was made from many outliers obviously.

I am really curious for Asprin results, no idea why he didn't get them yet as he ordered his 23andme kit before Stears as far as I know.

here is one for Celtic admix, using Irish as proxy - we have to bear in mind that not all of that score is Celtic, since Irish must be quite mixed with English, i.e. must contain some Germanic/Saxon, and also that Celtic was probably more of a cultural/linguistic division than a genetic one in the first place.

this considered, the graph is still informative enough for who wants to "read" it - just look at French-Brittany/English-Cornwall, for instance, I was surprised by their result :cool:
