My German Uncle Slavic DNA

Im new to this, my Uncle took a DNA test and he scored 20+ % slavic, which is pretty cool, I like the slavic lifestyle and they are pretty tough guys.

But I wonder, how did noone of my family was aware we have slavic in us?

I am from the Niedersachsen Area, not close to East Europe. Could it be wend genetic?

Almost all Germans had some relatives from eastern territories: Ostpreussen, Schlesien, etc which are Poland now. Germans often forget that and then are surprised with DNA results. Ask your uncle. Really, really all parents and grandparents were from Niedersachsen? (unlikely) Or was there indeed someone from German refugees from eastern territories? (highly likely).
