The Bulgarians have more Dinarids, the Moldavians more Gorid/Baltid influenced, but the two group have similar phenotypes and overlap.

Biggest difference is bizygomatic breadth. Far more elongated features among Bulgarians and much rounder among locals but this doesn't surprise me.

Do you know for what region of Bulgaria their features are common? They look different from locals, and is not only because of cephalic index, plus they don't look really Southern.

I don't know how Gagauz look like. I know plenty of them live in Varna but that's it.
Plus I don't know what you mean by pretty Southern looking. Bulgaria has more Southern looking individuals than Moldova, but the two countries overlap quite a lot

Gagauz have minor asiatic vibes (some Turanic and even West Asian), between Bulgarians is lesser to see this, this is the reason why I questioned from that region they came, because compared to Gagauz, compact living in Dobruja, Bulgarians can be from many places.

The difference between Bulgarians and Moldavians can be mostly autosomaly, in terms of phenotypes and especially pigmentation, very big differences I don't realy see, these Bulgarians for example can pass as Ukrainians and even Russians. Maybe exist some dark exotic types between them, but such individuals can be seen between Moldavians too.

They live in this are for about 300 years. I think quite a lot of mixing has happened since then.
And are they colonists? I think the Russian empire invited them to settle in this area, since a few failed uprisings in XVII century

Bulgarians came here after 1806-1812 Russo-Turkish War together with Gagauz and other colonists from Southern of Danube. Gagauz till seventh decade of 19th century were counted as Bulgarians. Before them, in Budjak (Bessarabia) lived only Tatars, some Jews and Turks, except the territory close to Prut river, who was inhabited mostly by Moldavians. Is seen till today on many ethnic maps that areas close to Prut are inhabited by Moldavians compared to more Steppe regions ingabited by other ethnicities.

They could be from every part of the state, as these (Atlantid, Nordid, Cro-Magnon) are looks common in all regions.
Yet, if I have to name one region, they look pretty Central Bulgarian.
