View Full Version : Can Joel Huiqui pass in SE Asia? Or does he look too distinctly/uniquely Amerindian?

To me, his features combined with very tall height lanky body type would be perceived as very exotic and make him stand out from the crowd in SE Asia. He seem darker than a lot of SE Asians. I want to see how good you are at differentiating and detecting the differences between SE Asians and native Americans.

To me he looks much more like a SSA admixed ambiguous triracial rather than a SE Asian.

Passes for sure, IMO.

Not really (at least to me). Despite his dark brown skin and straighter hair, his facial features are very distinct and unique from most of the population. Also his very tall height would make him stand out from the SE Asian crowd.

I want to see whether ppl can differentiate the differences in look between SE Asians and Amerindians. Cause I heard this urban legend a lot that SE Asians on average can pass as Native Americans and vice versa and I vehemently disagree. And from living here and interacting with other SE Asians (Thai) on a daily basis, this notion is not true at all.

I do appreciate your sentiment.

Clarification regarding my own: I perceive there to be a subset of the South East Asian Spectrum, to which our subject might belong - but I don't perceive our subject to be powerfully South East Asian esque.
