American-Croatian with all 4 grandparents from small Island of Unije, in north Adriatic region.

Her results:

Her Eastern European and Balkan percentage are almost identical to mine!

I score 46.8% Eastern European, she scores 46%.
I score 38.1% Balkan, she scores 39.7%

Could this show genetic similarity of North Adriatic and Dalmatian Croatian Islanders? Both are chakavian speaking.
However, her Island is speaking middle chakavian dialect, while islands I am from are speaking southeastern chakavian.
Here is a dialectical map:

Btw, I found her while searching trough Stears DNA relative list :P

Wouldnt have expected an Croatian islander to have that much eastern euro. Really surprising.

Really? It's long known Croatian Islanders are some of purest and lightest pigmented Croats around.

Yeah, Croats from the coast tend to be darker (also my personal experience).

Coastal Dalmatians are darkest group of southern Croats from my experience, and least Slavic-admixed.

Romance origin with 1% Italian? She's a Croat, but not from Dalmatia.
