The baltic countries are gonna have a fit if NATO dissolution happen. But I think it very unlikely that NATO will cease to exist in the near future. NATO is now a leash, moderating the behaviour of state power's like Turkey.

But it is not possible. Some of them are not capable to move away from Germany and other Western countries which makes them unreliable. Just remember 80th WWII anniversary marked in Poland where Russia and Serbia were not invited.

Weaker countries will simply fall under strongest country rule. Imperial Russia, USSR, and two Yugoslavias are good examples.

This could of happened but the Poles went crazy and started worshipping Rome and the Pope and the Balkans became a mess.

I dont see any Slavic country as long as they remain in the EU ever being truly independent. The best hope for the EU is a secular right wing revolution that takes control of the EUs institutions a pan european type rule.

Russia is motivated by some slavic interests but they have to expand their empire logically south into central asia and caucasus and iran etc to maintain dominance. It would be nice if Ukrainians wetent brainwashed and would join Russia.

Wow this thread aged like milk. NATO should have been dissolved as soon as the Warsaw Pact fell apart.

But here we are, nearly 32 years later, trying to absorb the Ukraine and start World War III.

It's too bad Trump didn't pull the US out...what was left of NATO (basically nothing) could have founded the EU Army or something.
