I took my younger brother to see the final installment of the Harry Potter film series recently and, yet again, found myself "ensnared" by the character of Severus Snape, as portrayed by the ever-talented Alan Rickman. ;)

What is Alan Rickman's phenotype?

I used the search function and it came up with no previous posts, so apologies if this is a repeat.

This is a very specific and very British instance of insular Atlantid with pseudo-Dinaric features like the long nose.

Other famous examples are William Pitt the younger, Pete Townshend (of The Who) and ex-Pink Floyd Roger Waters.

For some obscure reason this type is virtually restricted to the British isles. You almost never see it in the US of A. or Australia.

Interesting post, I think there are many Isles types that are apparently non existent or very rare in other territories (doesn't make much practical sense), but what I think happens quite a lot in the New World is that those features are usually explained away on another ancestral line.

Other than the higher leptoprosopy there is no difference with this (http://carnby.altervista.org/troe/p-29.htm). It's the dominant part of my father's side.

He looks Irish and Welsh.

I think he could fit into The Netherlands, Belguim, North France, Southwest Germany, Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia.
