Interesting disparity for French and German between 23andme and ancestry, I had a similar scenario but the reverse with 10% German on 23andme and 22% Germanic Europe on Ancestry. On paper I should be around 1/8 German. What's your Germanic estimate by paper trail?

It is! I have a feeling 23andMe is a bit more accurate, though. 3 of my 4 grandparents have some German ancestry. Germanic Europe was 15% on Ancestry for their last estimate. I think some of my French is “hiding” in my England, Wales, & Northwestern Europe.

DNA Land looks like the outlier of the bunch, I was surprised to see 29% North Slavic.

What's your background?

I'm mixed European. I've been studying my family tree, but it's pretty hard for my mom's side because most of her family consists of recent immigrants.
I'll list where all of my great-grandparents are from:

Paternal grandfather's father: U.S.A.. He had Austrian, English, French, and German roots.
Paternal grandfather's mother: U.S.A.. She had Dutch, English, and French roots. She supposedly had Native American ancestors, but I doubt it.
Paternal grandmother's father: U.S.A. I can't trace his family outside of the U.S., but based on the surnames, most likely British Isles.
Paternal grandmother's mother: U.S.A. I can't trace her family outside of the U.S., but based on the surnames, most likely British Isles.

Maternal grandfather's father: U.S.A.. His father was a Norwegian immigrant, and his mother was the daughter of Norwegian immigrants.
Maternal grandfather's mother: U.S.A. Her father was born in the U.S.A. and he had Dutch, English, and German roots (some Irish too), but her mother was a Canadian and the daughter of two English immigrants.
Maternal grandmother's father: Croatia. I don't know about his roots that much. He supposedly had Italian and Greek ancestors, along with some Eastern European ancestors.
Maternal grandmother's mother: Canada. She was the daughter of a Scottish immigrant and an Irish-English Canadian. There's supposedly some French in there as well (my grandmother gets French in her DNA results a lot too, so that would make sense).

Yeah, I thought that was odd too. I know I have Slavic roots, but I know the percentage isn't that large.

Yeah, and the Sardinian too. Seems off. DNA.Land and Wegene look like the duds of the bunch here. Sometimes MyHeritage can give weird result too, but that looks okay here to me.

Basically very similar to mine, just remove the French, Croatian, Greej, and Italian. Haha.
