At what threshold does the match become meaningful? For ancient sample matches.

I’ve read on many forums that if you set the thresholds lower than 4 cm length with 400 snp length you will just get a bunch of false positive matches. This true?

Sorry I mean for ancient samples as well. >100 cm is unrealistic for that I think

ahhh OK Daos777. In that case of course it will depend on your own gene-pool but in my case 2 cM narrows down the list a lot. On the other hand with 1 cm I got many matches though. I have not put to much attention into this functionality. Let`s see what other people think.
