I got tired of the mentally retarded polack science of Eurogenes calculators, Greek monkey Dodecad calculators, Lithuanian untermensch MDLP calculators etc.. etc.. and I also have grown really skeptical about commercial grade products or gimmicks like AncestryDNA and MyTrueHeritage etc... so I decided to trust intellectual institutions such as the University of California or UCLA:

Ancestral inference
Another important application of SPA is the ancestral location inference. Given an individual’s genotype and all slope functions of allele frequency, SPA is able to predict the geographical origin.

For 23andMe User

Since version 1.10, SPA software supports prediction of ancestral origin for 23andMe users. Given the genotype file generated from 23andMe, one can run the following command to get the prediction :

spa --mfile 23andMeFile.txt --model-input europe.model --location-output 23andMe.loc

The result of the above program run will be two files: 23andMe.loc and 23andMe.loc.html. One can double click the HTML file 23andMe.loc.html, which will redirect to google map to show the predicted ancestral origin. Note that the prediction is usually within 500 kilometers around the truth.

In that thread Lukasz said it was based on an old HGDP dataset but it is actually based on the POPRES dataset AFAIK. He is just another mentally retarded Polack tying to peddle his k36 analysis for some shekels : retarded Polack science.

So, the POPRES dataset was taken in 2012 but the Human Genome Project was completed in 2003 and since the POPRES dataset is digital it does not degrade physically so he has no point.

Also, it probably is not a coincidence that the Frenchman Tolan's analysis agrees with the UCLA analysis of genetics.

UCLA science and French science > Polack science.

Nothing that places you at some location on a map can be correct. Looks more like a Horoscope.

GPS origins seems good. I don't know if the company uses similar co-ordinates as Davidski's G25 But it looks fine.

What are you talking about genius ? That is basically what the Gedmatch Oracle single population number 1 spot does.

Also, how is it that Tolan gave me the same results when he tool was acting blindly as to my identity ? In fact both tools did not know my identity they just knew my raw data info.

the funniest part is that he calls gedmatch shit, while gedmatch calculators use admixture, which is UCLA software http://software.genetics.ucla.edu/admixture/

So what ? Who says the amateurs at GEDmatch are qualified to use admixture software in an extended accurate way ?

How is anyone taking GEDmatch seriously ? Different calculators tell me I am : Volga_German, Irish, English, Cornish, Dutch, Orcadian , mixed Germanic, Argyll Scottish, Utahn_white. You and the GEDmatch creators are clowns here not me . Why the would anyone take amateurs seriously ? GEDmatch calculators ARE ALL MADE BY AMATEURS AND THEY ARE INCONSISTENT !

The best DNA stuff is California based whether it is from UCLA or 23andMe. That is theme that I see.

The various calculators show that you have Northwestern European ancestry. There is significant overlapping between the various NW European populations which is why you have been getting the results that you have received.

I didnt mention Gedmatch at all, dont know why youre mentioning it to me. Its also not correct but it shows which samples youre closest to. The map doesnt make sense to me at all because no company on earth has samples from every city in existence to place you on some kind of map.

Youre right when you say that they only have your raw data and not your identity and I dont think anyone thinks otherwise. Calm down brother.

It is interesting but too NW Euro for me which is contradictory to all other stuff which I tried and not in line with my family history so in my case certainly wrong. And I remember it took me many hours to do all chromosomes so waste of time.

Chromo 2 near Hamburg and chromo 3 in Rheinland, no way:) Generally nine chromos are from north or western Europe. Additionally three from Austria, one from Polish-German, one from Czech - German border.

this is just a PCA-like analysis , deformed to fit the world map
it succeeds at placing Europeans in Europe , good job
