You do know he's not Greek right? Mitroglou is the most common gypsy surname in Greece. And, he doesn't even look like a Pontic Greek as Kaspias said. Also, Krinides in Kavala (where he's from) have a significant gypsy settlement.

I don't know to be honest, but amongst the 12 families of gypsys I have in my area, at least the 1/3 is Mitrou/Mitroglou.
Greeks, even Asia Minor ones, don't have this surname. We only Μητρόπουλος.

From what I remember he is of Anatolian Greek ancestry and there's no evidence of him being a gypsy. I have seen him in real life at the shopping center since he used to play for my football club (great player btw) and he is quite tall (very unusual for Romanis) and doesn't look gypsy to me albeit looking undeniably "oriental".

Yes, they are. Just because some, and I repeat some, might be Armenoid, it doesn't mean the entire rest, which is Med, signifies heterogeneity.

And this particular individual doesn't look Greek, comes from a town which a significant gypsy element, has a surname that not even Anatolian Greeks have it, has a pheno that not even the most extreme Anatolian Greek has it, and he is indeed a "gypsy in disguise". Well, I've seen people from Anatolia who are similar looking to him or even darker. So even if he's Gypsy he passes as Anatolian. If he passes as Anatolian he can pass as Anatolian Greek.

The problem is that Anatolian Greeks do not look Anatolian in their majority. And people of Anatolia # Anatolian Greeks. The former include everyone living in the Anatolian peninsula. The latter only the Greeks who lived in Anatolia.

Dude, no offence, but Cappadocian Greeks don't look like this, even in most extreme cases. Other sources say he's from Pafra in Pontus. Others say Ismir even. When there's that varied opinions, then you know he's hiding many things.
