I'm big Star Wars fan and i think it was the best Star Wars series, much better than Clone Wars or Rebels.

I mean what can you expect from mini series... people criticize too much.

I've gave up on watching it when the franchise was bought by Disney.

The new trilogy is shit just like Disney, but not all bad. The Mandalorian and for example the Rogue One are very good, the last one is one of the best Star Wars movie and it created by Disney. Look this Darth Vader scene from Rogue One, this is the most epic moment after the "I'm your father":

The most important thing that matters to me is the way movie is being produced. George Lucas is simply class above all others who made any Star Wars sequel. I started to appreciate Lucas' style more because of one other movie he made THX 1138 (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066434/?ref_=nm_flmg_wr_148), but in general directors such as Lucas, Tarantino, Spielberg, Landis or Lynch are far better than most of the modern "famous" directors (famous for making blockbuster sequels) because they made a risky decision, went into uncharted waters and made movies the way they wanted, and not the way the industry wanted. I guess that's why I can't stand last Star Wars trilogy.

No, but I knew many details from the video, like his wife, Spielberg and de Palma's involvement in creation of the original movie, as well as re-editing issues.

On the topic of this Star Wars movies, I think this is the best review (albeit a bit lengthy) one the series I've seen:
