Not clearly white because most of them have dark hair and olive skin. But they can be viewed as white. Similar as I am. Growing up I was bullied that Im a brown shit and such. I believed that because Im a skin type III or IV, and that is brunette white, sometimes i perceived myself as brown and sometimes I disagreed and perceived me myself as white. Sometimes I tried to object to me being brown but they strongly claimed it. I remember I talked to teacher in small school who claimed Im the turban guy next to the african and I said Im probably the meditteranean guy, and he said no he is only brown from the sun you are the arab/indian. Since he was the authority and I was a small kid I believed it. I think it is not clearly white as if someone is blonde and skin type II.

If I were a full ethnic southern european I would not be treated colored so yes there is a huge difference but the skin color is the same maybe I'm even lighter than some of them

All "white" means is that you're of (mostly) European ancestry.

Many Asians are the same colour, and some even fairer. It's not about colour.

I think the problem comes when Europeans and Americans split the world into "white"/"brown"/"yellow"/"black" and a huge diversity of inconvenient races and people's gets jammed into one of these, ill-fitting boxes.

There is no way that a Palestinian and a Burmese guy share a common look. Yet both are in the "brown" box, according to many.

Even in terms of "racism", you can't honestly say that they will experience similar levels of discrimination or feel similarly alienated. It really says nothing useful.
