modern day avatars

i am using gujjars of swat for representation (as they are closest to pak punjab agricultural tribes) , otherwise it is shared heritage of all the groups in the region , also difference is mainly ASI levels with yousafzais having less ASI , major signal is mostly similar(Gedrosia+steppe+MEd)

Pretty typical to swat gujjars and big affinity between many of these samples and northern pashtuns/kalashis

Many pashtuns from swat can easily get up to 23% SI and some even 25% without being mixed

is it true that dalit population of pak punjab was much lower, before british brought menial castes from gangatic plaians during shortage of lobourers during canal construction in 1800s?

Many yousufzais look like gujjars and many gujjars look like pathans like malala yousufzais father doesn't look typical pathan to me , This pashtunization happend in last 700 to 1000 years when hords of gujjars came from gujrat/rajhastan india after defeats from muslim rulers, and later same mulsim rulers set them up strongly in potohar and further nd in last thousand years they are living here so heavily mixed with real native populations and have intermixed identities with native population

This gujjar is saying last wali e swat was gujjar and pathans are fighting with him and saying he was yousfzai , so most like many yousfzais have intermixed identity now in modern times

gojiri is not dardic language but a Rajasthani/Marwari language

I believe there’s genetic continuity in the Swat area from the Iron Age. I think those Saidu Sharif IA and related people live today inside Yusufzai Pashtuns, Gujjars and other area people. Whether the original Yusufzais that brought Islam into the area were genetically more western is irrelevant. They mixed with the local Gandharans they subdued. Even the Pashto kanguage is not 100% Indo-Iranian. I believe there is still alot of Gandharan loan words. These ancient civilizations of the area make the common thread that ties together the Pakistani Pashtuns and peoples of Punjab

All pakistani groups are related in the sense bulk of there population is on a cline and their main genetic component is indo iranian great diversity you see in Pakistan is because of variation in ASI levels.

True but the genetic connection of Pashtuns (especially eastern) and other Pakistani groups (excluding Baloch) to us western Iranics is more ancient. Now Western and Southern Oashtuns may have gotten a little geneflow from us more recently such as via Baloch or who knows via the Kurds that migrated east 500 or 800 years ago although I think it would be minimal. Also the difference between Pashto and W. Iranian languages including Balochi is big enough to indicate any common ancestor would be very old.

Interestingly some of us Kurds show a small ASI signal or for example I show Mauriyan percent in Mytrueancestry.com but the source is mystery

They seem to have more neolithic Iranian ancestry than steppe ancestry from Eastern Europe, and they look like more closer to Iranians than anything.
