Kosor praised wartime actions of two former Croatian generals found guilty by the Hague Tribunal of committing war crimes against the country's ethnic Serbs.

"No election campaigns or struggles for power should be reasons to glorify those who committed war crimes. It is a very irresponsible policy," said Tadić.

The Croatian prime minister, who thanked generals Ante Gotovina and Mladen Markač for the way they had conducted the 1995 Croatian military offensive dubbed Operation Storm.

According to a statement from his cabinet, Tadić reiterated that Operation Storm had taken a great number of innocent lives and had caused the exodus of more than 200,000 Serbs.

"I believe it is very important to know that now all those indicted for war crimes, including the Croatian generals who were convicted in the first instance verdict, are located in The Hague” the press service of the president said.

“The statement by Prime Minister Kosor does not contribute to the development of good neighborly relations between our two countries. The two countries have been trying to raise their cooperation to a higher level ever since the serious conflicts in the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s that left behind a large number of casualties, missing persons and people expelled from their homes,” the Serbian president said.

He said that war criminals must never be glorified and recalled that representatives of the democratic state of Serbia, which had been cooperating with the Hague Tribunal and had delivered 46 indicted war criminals to the international war crimes court, had never done anything similar.

Croats kill and deport more than 200,000+ Serbs and they are praised for it. However when we try to do the same thing in 1999 with Albanians and we are condemned for it. Must be because Albanians are Muslim whereas the Serbs in the Krajina weren't.

It was the payback for Serb crimes against Croatia and Croats in 1991. In the other thread you celebrated the "victory" of Vukovar. Well, there you have it. If there had not been Vukovar in 1991, there wouldn't have been Operation Storm in 1995. Maybe many people think that Serbs had it coming...

Maybe you could include also Russia into teh anti-Serb conspiracy? Because, contrary to stereotypes about Russian-Serbian alliance, Russia didn't lift one little finger for Serbia until 1999. And then Russia did only a very moderate favour to Serbia, by occupying northern Kosovo.

Battle of Vukovar was conducted by the JNA and Communist Yugoslavia... NOT Serbia. You had Panich commanding and Hungarian, Bosniak, Albanian and Macedonian troops fighting in that battle.

Vukovar was an insignificant town with no real value whereas you expelled Serbs and reducing the population from 500,000+ to just 200,000. Now that's real genocide.

Russia in 1999 and Russia today is a vastly different beast. You know better than try to joke about our traditional ally.

Don't keep telling fairy-tales. In 1991 Yugoslavia (including the Yugoslav Communist Army) = Serbia

The political structure of Yugoslavia in 1991 was still ethnically mixed. It was not 100% Serbian nor was the military ethnically pure as well.

Different, but none of the two particularly cares about Serbia. Russia as the eternal and traditional ally, it's more of a fruit of your fantasy than reality.

Just for the record: Russia recognized Croatia before USA did.

The Russo-Turkish war of 77-78 was largely motivated by the fact that we were their Orthodox Slav brothers who were in need of liberation from Ottoman Turks. That is why we are traditional allies.

Who cares if Russia recognised Croatia? I couldn't give a shit about Yugoslavia.

Heretik, I haven't changed one iota of my opinion nor your usual attack tactics.
