Caucasians not cluster with Europeans?

Yup, Caucasians have lots of CHG(and proper CHG) which Europeans largely lack. Caucasians are closest to populations of the Iranian plateau. However it varies among the groups themselves for examples Chechens have lots of steppe which Georgians seem to lack.

How sure are you? Every sample or average I've ever seen seemed to have all North Caucasians score an ample amount of Steppe admixture regardless of the calculator. If what you are saying is true then we really have to start questioning these samples that are available to us.

I assume if they wouldnt had been added, istanbul turks would had been closer to pashtuns as well as other turks.

Interesting these samples are just labelled as turks. Not saying turks cant look euro without euro ancestry, but i can kind of now see why there are a good bunch of euro looking turks amongst turks.

I'd prefer more to rely on Y-DNA and MtDNA results than to autosomes. Haplogroups show from which ethnic group are your nearest relatives.

I assume if they wouldnt had been added, istanbul turks would had been closer to pashtuns as well as other turks.

Interesting these samples are just labelled as turks. Not saying turks cant look euro without euro ancestry, but i can kind of now see why there are a good bunch of euro looking turks amongst turks.

I mean all Northern Caucasians seem to have a lot of Steppe admixture. Avars, Tabassarans, and Chechens/Ingush especially. Ossetians and Circassians seem to have plenty too.

These are G25 models for North Caucasians I did a few months ago. No Lezgins unfortunately, they are the fourth largest Dagestani ethnic group but I guess Tabasarans should be pretty similar. By the way, Lezgins are the largest minority in Azerbaijan and they are stereotypically lighter than Azeris.

The Caucasus region lies between the Black Sea (in the West) and the Caspian Sea (in the East). The closer to the Black Sea, the more Anatolian-like admixture. Conversely, Dagestan seems to have the largest percentage of European Hunter-Gatherer admixture. Except for the Kumyks that are a coastal Turkic-speaking ethnic group in Eastern Dagestan.
