A wooden statue mocking Donald Trump that had been erected in Slovenia – the birthplace of his wife, Melania Trump – has been burned to the ground.

The nearly eight-meter (26ft) high construction, erected last year in a village in north-east of Slovenia, showed Trump with his trademark hair, blue suit, white shirt and over-long red tie. His right arm – fist clenched – was raised high like that of New York’s Statue of Liberty.

You give Germany too much credit for the Central and Axis efforts. You don't know about the industrial output and armament capacity of each on the eve of Sarajevo. Every graph depicts an equal level from the modernising developments since the mid-late 19th century. You also fail to take into account stalling by Britain and America because they weren't our battles, but we got involved to maintain the balance of power. Germany was allowed to go unchecked in both instances, before the Anglosphere had enough.
