He announced talks with the opposition as regards electoral legislations, but he rejected the opposition's request for the Serbian language to be re-introduced in the Montenegrin educational system, which the opposition set as a condition for ensuring a two-third parliament majority in favor of the electoral law.

Krivokapić scheduled a parliament speaker collegium for next week, with a view to establishing the date of the meeting on the electoral law.

“In addition to electoral legislations, the agenda of the meeting can cover only the issue of citizenship and nothing else”, the parliament speaker told Radio Television of Montenegro.

Commenting on the opposition's announcements that they would initiate a debate on amendments to the Law on Education, Krivokapić noted that there was no room for blackmails and such attempts are destined to failure in advance.

Montenegrin Prime Minister Igor Lukšić announced earlier that he would initiate talks with the opposition regarding the adoption of the electoral law, which constitutes one of key conditions for Montenegro to have the date of EU accession talks set.

In order for the law to be adopted in the Montenegrin parliament, two thirds of MPs need to vote in its favor.

The opposition set re-introduction of the Serbian language in the Montenegrin educational system and resolving the citizenship issue as conditions for backing the electoral law, and the deadline for modifications has so far been extended on as many as seven occasions.

In the population census (http://www.b92.net/eng/news/region-article.php?yyyy=2011&mm=07&dd=12&nav_id=75398) conducted earlier this year, 43.88 percent of citizens said they spoke Serbian.

Seselj is a bit of a lunatic. I'm glad he is stuck in the Hague.

It is quite interesting fact that some nations in our surroundings are defining their ethnicity through Serbian antipode, Montenegrins included.
