After the Second World War, soldiers from across the Baltics who had fought on both sides of the war disappeared into the forests to wage Europe's bloodiest guerrilla war against the occupying Soviet forces. This short docu drama includes interviews with former partisan fighters and those who supported them and dramatic battle scene recreations and interviews with modern-day Special Forces of Lithuania, the direct descendants of the Forest Brothers.

The Dutchman's Cap (Lithuanian: Olando kepurė) is a hill with a 24.4 m high bluff, which is in Lithuania's Seaside Regional Park, near Karklė and 2 km north of Giruliai on the Baltic Sea coast. It was created 12000–15000 years ago during the last Baltic glaciation.[1]

This thread makes me nostalgic. I had a friend in college who was obsecessed with Lithuania and loved polka. He would sit and talk for hours on end about how amazing the country was even though he'd never visited. When asked why he thought it was so amazing, he couldn't reply outside of, "I don't know. I just like it."
