BANJA LUKA -- The Serb Republic (RS) is politically and institutionally stable, its GDP is rising and the government does not plan on introducing any changes.
This was heard from RS President Milorad Dodik on Tuesday in Banja Luka, RS.
Reacting at a news conference to media reports from the Federation pointing to a poor economic situation in the Serb entity, Dodik said “facts completely deny such estimates”.
The post-war Bosnia-Herzegovina is divided into two entities: the Serb Republic, and the Muslim-Croat Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
“We see a complete chaos in the Federation, we see street blockades (due to social protests). Unlike that, there is no social pressure in the RS despite the fact that there are problems” Dodik said.
Talking about the situation in the country, Dodik said that the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina might not be formed in September either due to the poor relations between Banja Luka and Sarajevo.
“We continue to demand an interior minister position for the RS and our only concession is that we are willing to discuss with our partners in the Federation about the remaining three ministers, which should be assigned to us”, Dodik said.
