Remember that I told you that you were near 90% European? But yeah, you need to pay, I cannot see the regions anymore, but I could some months ago. At least in the map.

I'm always wondering why Iberians and N.Italians score significant "British and Ireland" on Living DNA.

Celtic-Like contribution, perhaps :noidea:

I think the test is geared towards Isles people, so it's probably a little biased.

I'm guessing it's due to the Bell Beaker ancestry among the native Iberians that make more than half of their genome. The culture is where the Celts and the Germanic peoples originated from, and the British people are genetically more than 90% Bell Beaker and only less than 10% from the neolithic Brits that had built Stonehenge.

Something like that because I would think more about germanic contribution not "Brit" one for "north-shifting".

The only region where "brit" contribution is certain it's Asturias.

Some users (mainly trolls or purist weirdos) used to exagerrate your SSA ancestry, maybe that's why I thought you had more African than Amerindian in you.

And the british due to celtic/germanic ancient ancestry.
That could explain you look pan-euro.

Thanks, bro! I'm very glad with this results :)

I think, however, that it is normal for Spaniards to score some British/Irish on these tests, independently of their look.

I've seen 2 venezuelans on TA and both are +90% Euro while mexicans here usually get around 50% I really wonder if Venezuela is really 55% euro on avg as Mexico

You scored a lot of iberian, the strange thing it wasn't eastern but western, your mom must have strong castillian or galician ancestry, this can explain the irish result, like mine. Also i knew your father is partly Italian, but i thought it was southern.

Very interesting my eurovenezuelan bro.

Nah, Venezuela in average is like 60% euro, the thing it's that they were strong european and lebanese immigration in very industrialized places, and alnorte it's a result of that for sure.

Yeah, the case of my maternal side is strange. My mom is almost full Mallorcan native, with the only exception of the maternal grandma of her father, who was a blond and blue eyed woman from Castilla-Leon.

In the case of the Italian ancestry from my dad, we actually don't know from which part of Italy my Italian great grandfather came from. All I know is that my Italian surname has its higher frequency in Basilicata, but it is also present through several other Italian regions, including a good frequency in Lombardy (Northern Italy). Also, three deceased brothers of my dad, and my dad himself had/have blondish hair tones and blue eyes. Same with my deceased paternal grandpa, and his father as well. Probably that's not that relevant in determining if my great grand father was from Northern Italy, since there is a good frequency of lightish hair tones and light eyes through most of Italy.
