This tool sucks it has no Dutch, French , or German categories etc.. Yet, another mentally retarded tool from American 'scientists' . It is telling me I am 40.1% English and 22.5% Scandinavian because there are no Dutch samples. I got this from Davidski and it is a way better than this shit :

Ya probably some extra Germanic spilled over, this person family tree/matches indicates they have some Germanic Saxon ancestors because they identify with Saxon Family Herb some of them are Polish, Hungarian, Serbian, etc

Actually pretty accurate. Central Asian on Myheritage is mostly East Asian.
It overall fits your Gedmatch results.

I don't agree. Sure it is somewhat accurate but MH still gives weird af results to many people. I mean what's the point in calling Central Asian by its name if they use East Asian as their reference point. On gedmatch my EA is around 11-12%, so surely Central Asian must be higher than that. Also I don't get how I get that much Italian. It's even more than Greek (meanwhile Greeks tell me that MH mixes up Greek and Italian).

Also my cousin took his test and he got like 4% Chinese, 3% Meso-American and no Central Asian on MyHeritage, while he got similar % of CA as me. MyHeritage should really do an update.

My father is German with ancestors from Lower Silesia. My mother is half-French (father's side) half-Spanish Basque (mother's side).

My Iberian score is very high, although my mother has Spanish ancestors even on the paternal side. Moreover, most MH's French customers have high Iberian scores (70%), it's the most widely distributed ethnicity among French users. A lot of my distant relatives found by MH have a Basque surname. My maternal grandmother's family has been fully Basque for many generations.

The Baltic and Scandinavian percentage were undoubtedly inherited from my father's side.
My 10% of Balkan score is interesting. MH found ne some distant relatives in Romania and Hungary with whom I share up to 0,6% of my DNA. One possible explanation is that before being part of Prussia, Silesia used to belong to the Austrian Empire. Transylvania was a part of Europe with a strong German comnunity, and the members of this diaspora often interbred with Hungarians, Romanians and other ethnicities. I also have distant relatives in Poland, the Czech Republic and Ukraine. But no-one in the true Balkans (Former Yugoslavia, Albania.and Bulgaria) or the Baltic States.
Still strange that I didn't score any East-European or West and North European.

Their Balkan is skewed towards Romania and Serbia rather than being an average as on 23andme. That's why Albanians score almost 100% Balkan on 23andme, but a plurality of Greek and South Italian on MyHeritage.

It is not only MH. On FTDNA one of my highest matches is Scottish woman. I asked her of possible Polish ancestry and she was sure that she doesn't have. Certainly I don't have Scottish ancestry or generally NW Euro too in any substantial way as all calculators show.
She has also X-match with my mother, and more CM as it is phased match.

Very different, I have the impression saliva samples are of better quality than uploads in most companies. Generally I advise anyone looking for a new company to do the actual test instead of an upload. I have the impression they pay more attention to your results when it's an actual salive sample. In uploads people get generic results that may be wrong.

We will see if I pass the sephardi test this time, last it just gave me Italians and North Africa.
