Just a basic ethnic identity, that's all. My Arabian admixture in me is less than 8%, and yet, I'm not ashamed to identify myself as an Arab. Arabs are not a race.

Arab world is not a race, because is seen as a the same cultural & spoken community, as the same happens with latins in America, but of course, is not the same to be Arabic than Morrocan in the same way that is not the same to be Spaniard than Mexican.

Hmm, well..I mean, The Ancient Egyptians are genetically very closely related to Semites even if they're not ethnically as such. Again, being Semitic is not a racial or genetic thing either anyway. Copts aren't Semitic, and yet, they cluster very closely with us Palestinians and other South Levantines, North African Jews and even to Arabians as well.

Yeah. Mexicans and Spaniards are Hispanics, and yet, they're obviously not the same in the cultural and genetic since which is true if you compared Moroccans to say Egyptians or Palestinians. Berbers and their Arabized bretheren are genetically North Africans which is close but distinct from middle easterners while Egyptians - both ancient and modern - are genetically South-West Asiatics or Middle Easterners even though they're unique in the Afro-Asiatic linguistic macrofamily.

Uh, yeah, that's what I meant. We have what the early bronze age Levantines were genetically like, and they cluster the closest to Egyptians and Arabians than to us. Berbers had been separated from us at least since the neolithic era of the world.
