El Oceonográfico is an open-air oceanographic park. It is the largest oceanographic aquarium in Europe with 110,000 square meters and 42 million liters of water. It was built in the shape of a water lily and is the work of architect Félix Candela.

L'Hemisfèric — an Imax Cinema, Planetarium and Laserium. Built in the shape of the eye and has an approximate surface of 13,000 m².
Both two buildings are situated on the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias or City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia.L'Oceanogràfic and L'Hemisféric, together with el Museu de les Ciències and el Palau de les Arts, are a modern heritage site of the City of València located in the old bed of the Turia river, which after its latest flood in 1957 (coloquially known as la Gran Riuà in Valencian language) had the river diverted and the old bed started a transformation into what today are the Jardins del Túria, the gardenes that run across the city and below the city ground level.

Another emblematic building in the old river gardens is el Palau de la Música, a venue for classic music located in a unique settings.

The expenses of the initial works were defrayed by Valencians themselves, who payed an additional tax on stamps and civil services.

Els Jardins del Real are located in the Pla del Real, where the medieval Royal Palace existed until the Napoleonic Wars when it was destroyed. Unusually, the palace was not destroyed by the French who so much looting and destruction of art had caused throughout Spain, but by wrongly planned strategy to defend the city against the French army.
