Both his parents are of German Ancestry. I looked at his genealogy and even his one recent ancestor with a Anglo name is of German descent.

My guess is

Classic Cromagnid>Borreby>Faelid. He looks Bavarian or Danish. The gap in his teeth makes him looks Bavarian or some other Northern influenced alpine. His nose I think throws it off, he has a less pretty German cromagnoid nose.

I saw Andre the giants cast for a broken limp, his singlet and boots at a WWF convention as a kid, shit was epic. I wish I got to meet Andre though but he was long dead.

They exaggerated Andre the Giants height as well. Especially toward the end when his spine was all messed up from the years of carrying his massive body.
