I'm curious about anything except 23andMe. I need one that is able to deliver the kit within 1 month... I got tired of waiting.

I guess Ancestry or FTDNA. Were you able to request a replacement 23andMe kit, or did they give you the run around?

Just wait dude, waste of money. Did you send your package back to them?

They told me I should have already received my replacement kit... I was not able to follow the package on the courier's website.. I even contacted the hungarian postal services.. nothing. So I requested a refund. Maybe it's better if I order from a totally different company

Stick to 23andme. Other companies are much worse. Be patient and don't waste your money. If you really want to go for other, go for Ancestry (they are really fast, you get autosomal + basic Y DNA)
Don't buy FTDNA family finder under any condition. They are even slower than 23andme and you won't be able to find your ydna unless you buy costly extra test.

I got mine after I wrote them angry email, in like 3 days. If you blackmail them, they tend to do anything to please you. I would highly suggest sticking to this, since it's most accurate and contains anything you can imagine of, miles ahead of myheritage and those bullshit other websites. You can also later upload your data on other websites for free.

AncestryDNA - Pro's - High number of matches. High SNP count for GEDmatch, G25.
Con's - Vague results.

FTDNA - Pro's - Ancestry update is coming. Not sure about the SNP count for GED/G25?
Con's - I don't know about other people but I have very few matches.

MH - Pro's - Ancestry update is coming. Lot's of matches.
Con's - I think a low SNP rate on GED/G25?
- Currently the worst ethnicity estimate, imo.

As far as I know, you can use your data from any of these company's on the Morley Y dna predictor, to find your basic haplo. Hmmm, I just took a look, and the Morley site seems to use FTDNA or full genome only? Weird. I remember very distinctly using my AncestryDNA and 23andMe data and getting a prediction with that. Maybe things have changed?

You can't get YDNA prediction with FTDNA family finder. They don't test for ydna mutations.

Does Ancestry give basic Y dna now? When I tested, they did not.

Not officialy, but you can exstract it via Morley or wegene. At least it was so when Stears did test.

I finally got my testing kit :) My DNA sample is already on it's way to the lab, hopefully.

Nice, I am looking forward to your results! You look somewhat Asian, could easily fit as some minority or mixed person in Russia for example. But I bet you aren't even 5% East Eurasian, so looks don't always tell the whole story.

Thank you! I'm going to share my results in another thread, maybe in a video. I see what you mean, my expectation is at least 95% ,,european'' , but who knows. We'll find out!
