View Full Version : Colorize old photos on MyHeritage
I'm not sure if it's free for everyone or just for MyHeritage customers. I tried a picture of my maternal grandfather and aunt. Seems to work well.

Circa early 1950s?
My dad was born in '44, so maybe that is 1947-ish.

Definitely too young to have dad who is born in 1944 but on other hand my mom is born in 1960 so everything is possible.
Ps. It looks like you have wog eyes just like me. :rofl_002:

1899, my great-grandmother Blanca is the little girl seated in the middle, with the dark, pouty face.

I was under the false assumption that this was her with her parents and siblings, but apparently, that is a picture of two families. The two seated in the middle may or may not be her parents. Her parents (my great-great grandparents) may be the ones standing in the back. I still don't know who the pretty young lady is standing on the left.
The little girl seated beside her with the fairer hair is her first cousin, and not her sister.
I tried a few photos, they got the colors wrong.

My great-grandmother
She looks strikingly similar to my German grandma (my mom's mom), who was 3/4 German and 1/4 English.

That's interesting ... she's probably German, too, although her last name suggests Greek roots also (ending in -is)
I tried using the MyHeritage colorizer instead of the Russian one and the colours match even better now: https://puu.sh/GkyMF/0559054e30.png
