Who is who? One of each in each row. I like doing it this way best.

Southern Polish/Goral/Rusyn vibes, a bit. Is that general area from where your Polish roots are from?

Based on where people with my Polish names currently live, melopolski and pokarpackie in the south and weilkapolsky northward. That does seem to line up a bit, interesting. Thanks!

The Polans tribe founded both Poland and Kievan Rus.
This is the location.

Correction, my 2nd cousin got back to me. My great great grandma told her they were from Poznan on one side and Prussia on the other. I must say after looking up some pictures I do look much more like women from those areas than the women I found when looking up Goral and Rusyn, though I do see what you're saying.

My great great grandma's word means a lot to me, I'm told she was a very staunch woman. She wanted to maintain heritage and wasn't happy about my great grandpa mixing with the French. If only she knew that was royal blood too, I wonder if she'd have felt different haha. Other than that, my great aunt told me she wasn't allowed in her house if she didn't have on long sleeves, long skirt, hair up, etc. I really love how that kind of thing was going on recent enough for me to hear about it from a first hand source. After this life, I'm looking forward to meeting my great great grandma Krohl-Kurzawa, even though she might not have liked me hahaha.

It's strange to me that Kurzawa is a "peasant name" while Krohl is nobility; I'd wondered if the story went that she had run off with a peasant man to America hahaha. But when I asked for the phenotype of my great great great grandpa Kurzawa (without giving his name of course) everyone guessed he was Nordic, and I know much of Eastern Europe was ruled by Nords for a while. So that makes some sense I guess. Here he is for reference, any thoughts while we're on the subject?

(I hope this is all on topic enough for this thread; there's not much else going on here anyways)

Here is an example of the Prussian that came up; very similar cheekbones, jaw, lips, chin, nose, eyes, even the neck and shoulders. She has a German looking space between her lip and nose. It's as if you took her and added British and French. Upon looking up more pictures, she even has a bit of that weird forehead I have. 121584

I am a product of the recent education system, so correct me please if I'm wrong. That is near Poznan and Prussia? Because I just heard back from my 2nd cousin and that is where we are from (on my Polish side at least, full disclosure I'm also just as French and British as I am Polish and German).

Poznan was also part of the Prussian partition. I guess by the other side originating from Prussia she meant specifically West Prussia or the Southern part of East Prussia both of which had a substantial Polish population.

Interesting. I wish I could know her mind, why she'd split it up that way. Thanks
