Scandinavia. Oldest R1b-U106 sample comes from Late Neolithic Sweden.

The weird thing is that U106 have been found in Bronze age Scandos and there a bottleneck event that made those semi-extinct lineages common in Western Germanic language speakers, but yet its not common in modern day N. Germanic speakers.
