Well, I think you misunderstood me. Your models are very good, you can make sure about it. My point was removing outlier samples just makes them better.

Look at how my results change from 0.25 to 0.5x. Feiichy's calc is somewhat accurate in general make-up but you shouldn't consider Greco-Roman (or Celtic in my case) admix based on it. Yes, Greeks and Romans influenced Romanian autosomal DNA and that is why you cluster more south than Bosnians, Serbs and Croats despite being more geographically northern.
Not massively though.

Your language didn't come out of nowhere, and genetics follows language just like in Iberia and France (both have minor Roman admixture)

Is this actually pre-Finnic sample? It should be Finnic, it's Iron Age. It's said proto-Finns came from Estonia and mixed with Saami, and got mongoloid from them.
But than it would mean proto-Finns were genetically Balto-Slavic which doesn't make any sense.

This sample is closest to Saami. By this age, Finnic language was already spoken in Finland.

all calculatore can be flawed for someone. For example on k13 my mother is far too close to Austria because she has high Baltic score (look at my signature). On k15 she is far away from Austria becuase Baltic + East European gets split. She even is closer to Northern Germany than to Austria on k15. But on k13 its the closest distance.

Slavs had the purest of genetics. If we had slavic samples from before the 5th century AD they would all have uniform results on every gedmatch and G25 calculator. Rest of europeans stole their history and culture and started speaking slavic dialects like latin and greek. Julius Cesar was pure slav and so was Charlemagne.

I ran the calc with the slavic samples but removing each sample being tested from the source.

I'd remove BA Balts and BA ''Croatians'', probably it is true they have no yet specific Baltic or Illyrian drift so they skew some results. Also Lech because it's also BA. And I am thinking to remove early Czech Slav, but didn't decide yet because it's local admixture is very small.

Since I have only one Germanic sample, I was thinking to add Iron Age Danish sample too, if it's clean (it should be, right?)

You can use Poprad or those Szolad samples which are highly Germanic, as good proxy of early medieval Germanics in Central Europe.

There is no Germanic in Balkan samples, but there is western European drift in it (bell beaker and even "celtic" like-not actual celtic at all though, just genetic overlap).

These samples are not mixed if that is what you mean, entire Croatia was homogemously North Italian like in bronze age, both in Dalmatia and Slavonia and very similar to early Italics/Latins, Etruscans and Republican Romans.

But, I doubt such genetic profile remained in Balkans for long because modern Balkanites (even most Croats) usually can't be modeled with it so well. Maybe it became already more southeastern like in iron age. IA Croatian sample is mislabeled as far as I know and actually just late BA one (someone please correct me if wrong, it's important for bigger picture)

I can be modeled with it, but well, I think that is because I am part west European so it eats my western admixture similary like yours.

Yes, but they prefer Bulgarian IA over Croatian for modeling. All Balkanites do actually except Slovenians/NW Croats and that's just probably genetic similarity not direct ancestry.

These BA Balkan samples are problematic so Sorbs and Czechs score substantially because it's similar to some celtic samples. I will most likely remove them in next run.

No samples are good, I'm just Baltic shifted more than average.

I always score lot of BA Croatian btw, unlike other Croats. When modeling with moderns I always get something Basque like/SW French/Iberian, unlike other south slavs.

Now question is do I have more pressrved BA Croatian ancestry than other south slavs because BA samples were very SW Euro like, or it is just my western euro side which makes it so?

I don't know the answer and even played with idea my Alsatian German side has some French roots, maybe from SW France or something so that is why I score like that.

But that is too small part of my ancestry to explain why my non Slavic side is so SW and not SE like in most other people.

Maybe Dalmatian islanders really preserved more of this BA Croatian ancestry than mainland south slav groups.

Look at Asia then. Well, in any case, this is far from being uncommon. Just find some kits of families and you will see.
Another example is how I shift towards W. Europe compared to my parents' average, and their average pulls towards E. Europe instead. I also score as much East Asian as my mom, whereas my dad has less, so the average should theoretically be lower.
I recall off the top of my head that another Polish user had a similar inconsistency. In his case, he was scoring more Med than his parents' average.

Not very probable, but at the same time it's entirely possible. You should look at more results of parents and offspring. This is more common than you think.

Look at Asia then. Well, in any case, this is far from being uncommon. Just find some kits of families and you will see.
Another example is how I shift towards W. Europe compared to my parents' average, and their average pulls towards E. Europe instead. I also score as much East Asian as my mom, whereas my dad has less, so the average should theoretically be lower.
I recall off the top of my head that another Polish user had a similar inconsistency. In his case, he was scoring more Med than his parents' average.

No group is autosomally completely homogenous. Early Slavs seem to have been similar to modern Ukrainians and pretty homogenous at that, but we can guess some Early Slavic individuals were also Baltic-like or West Slavic-like before migrating and mixing with anybody.

Let's not even mention pre-Slavic Balkanians who ranged from Basque-like to Sardinian-like to Levantine. And all this still hasn't evened out. You can take two Serbs from the same village and one will be 50% Ukrainian + 50% North_Italian, and the other 60% Ukrainian + 40% South Italian, despite living next to each other.

I didn't "use" anything, I let Vahaduo chose fitting samples for me from entire spreadsheet. Wishful thinking lmao. It is exact oposite. And obviously Baltic is Slavic, that's why I named it Balto-Slavic since no Balts migrated here. But I highly doubt Slavic migrants here were homogenous as they came with many tribes and wawes.

I am 50% Dalmatian and 75% Croat.

My ancestry is very complicated and that is why I can't get good model with using few preselected populations.

What about when parental admixture has less overlap, does accuracy go up? I think I have seen some plots where people who have parents of the same ethnicity (i.e. both Polish) do not plot exactly between them. But people who have 2 different parental admixes, like me and Daco, plot more precisely between them. I could be wrong, I've only seen a few cases including myself.

If it is K15 PCA from Tolan it is not the same PCA you can create in PAST for example (Tolan has his own method which I can't understand). So he could have different position here and there.

all calculatore can be flawed for someone. For example on k13 my mother is far too close to Austria because she has high Baltic score (look at my signature). On k15 she is far away from Austria becuase Baltic + East European gets split. She even is closer to Northern Germany than to Austria on k15. But on k13 its the closest distance.

K13 is trash -- K15 splits Atlantic and North Sea and Batlic and East European which is better. On K13 it says my closest population is 'Irish' and K15 says "English". That is a big difference since the Irish are Celtic and the English are Germanic. It's a mentally retarded contradiction.

This is the truth, for me, so far, at least until more middle ages samples are released for G25 :

It isn't surprising, because the source of Baltic Finns was in Estonia and in the are known today as Pskov Oblast, where also early east Slavs lived.
Finnish science and even Russian mythology tell it without doubt. Another thing has to be commented is that the Finnishness in these tests depends on how it is opted. The genetic distance in Finland is rather big as a result of local admixtures with Saami and genetic drift. Plus that PCA is prone to find differential distances between particular components, even though the results may be weighted. PCA based tests are good as far as Fst distances are small. If they are not the component selections be weird and far from origins of groups.

Edit. Btw, Finns called those early east Slavs as Vends, not Russians.
