Is this haplogroup common in Italy? My paternal family is Italian but I heard this haplogroup is more common in Germany, France and Spain.
It's under R1b-M269?
If you're a Latino, God knows what could have happened down the line. That's a pretty mixed and turbulent region.

My paternal side is Italian, specifically south italian. My mother’s side is Latino, her haplogroup is B2.

I looked up the modern distribution of r1b-m269 and it is absent in almost all of southern Italy, except for parts of Sicily and Calabria, strangely.
