These are local, small roads for people to shop, etc. with bazaars, street foods, etc. Even such shopping, street food areas are crammed in other countries as well. The only difference are the powerlines being too explicit and the trash on the roads. If you look closely there's sidewalks as well in that pic. I'm not saying those areas dont exist, but its not like only small parts of the country are developed either. There are a bunch of smart cities popping up. Also many of these streets are just crammed with lots of people and activity. Gangetic plain, where delhi is located for example, is the most populous and one of the densest regions in the entire world.

and even then, there's economy going on even in those shitty looking buildings.

They had some mathematical knowledge of their own but not in the systematic,deductive manner the Greek understood math.

You find hints at Indian Mathematical notions for example in their mythical writtings the Upanishads they had a concept of infinity and the number zero.

Basicly their mathematical,philosophical understanding was strongly tied with their mysticism and spirituality and i think
it was only Priests(Brahmin) in ancient India who learned and knew about math.
