He looks very Swedish, especially in the first pic.

Looks like a classic Nordid type to me. The rounded skullcap precludes a KN or Corded Nordid classification, IMHO. Compare:

EDIT: I'll bet money he's Canadian. ;)

Looks Danish or Swedish to me.

LOL! Nope but he may as well be. He's Ottawa Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson, a very nice Swedish man who has called Ottawa home for several years now. :)

Dang it, and I thought that this one might be a tough one. Hmmm I suspect that my friend Æmeric is a hockey fan too then? :D

Now you'll all have to tell me what were the 'tell-tale' signs that told you that the pictures posted were of a Swedish man. Please? It'll be the only way I get to learn this stuff I'm afraid. Oh I should say thanks to Psy; the skull pic was helpful. :)

The tell-tale Canadian sign was that he appears to be wearing what looks like a hockey jersey in the first picture.

Sometimes I find it too easy to guess these people's ethnicity because of background info (literally).

Oh, and actually I thought he looked English, so I would have been wrong. But maybe the hockey jersey subliminally made me think of Canada.

He reminded me of Jaap Stam, so I would say his ethnicity was Dutch...or at least Dutch/American/Canadian.

But he's 100% Swedish. He just lives here. He was not born here nor raised here. And I doubt that he has Canadian citizenship, though if he does, it would be dual citizenship. He plays for Sweden during the Olympics and other national hockey events. His children mind you more than likely have dual citizenship though since they were born here iirc and have lived here forever. His wife is also Swedish. :)

From Wikipedia:

Daniel Alfredsson (born December 11, 1972) of Gothenburg, Sweden, is a professional Swedish ice hockey player. He is the Captain of the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is considered a leader by example[1] and has been compared to former Detroit Red Wings captain Steve Yzerman in his value to the Senators.[1] A right winger with the Senators, Alfredsson usually plays on the first line, nicknamed the 'CASH'[2] or 'Pizza'[3] line with centre Jason Spezza and left winger Dany Heatley, and he has traditionally been the fourth forward on the ice in the role of pointman on Ottawa'a powerplay. He is one of the league's top scoring players, and he holds the Senators' franchise records for goals (331), assists (516), and points (847). He has played for Sweden internationally twelve times, including the 2006 gold medal winning Olympic squad.

Daniel is married to Brigitte Alfredsson and is the father of three sons, Hugo, Loui, and Fenix, the most recent which arrived 2008-06-04.[11] The family resides in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and Särö, Sweden. Alfredsson's parents are Hasse and Margareta Alfredsson. His younger brother Henrik Alfredsson played with the Ottawa 67s junior team as a 19-year old during their 1999 Memorial Cup-winning season.

Thanks All! :)

Yes I do see a resemblance there for sure too, Beorny.

You can certainly see the KN in the both, but from the front the similarities end.

Just like this looks like an Irish face. I tend to view people as having an ethnic look rather then classifying them as Bruenn or Borreby or whatever.
