I get no Levant on it either. OP used really poor references and/or some of them are unscaled. Edit: I get some with 0.25x, but the amount is ridiculous relative to the other MENA regions I score on it even if you're of the opinion that Ashkenazim are hardly Middle Eastern.

All of them are scaled. Not every calc could work for everyone.

1-3% nonwhite isn't enough to pull someone closer to France and is still basically a pure anglo. Thing is I am actually closer to France than I am to Britain so this doesn't apply to me and leaves a lot out.

I have never seen a 95-100% British person plot where I do, closer to France than to other British people. Bretons are def. not pure Celts like they're made out to be, since they're south of the English people, and I even plot below Bretons.

On G25 using Neolithic, Copper Age North Africans and Guanches, North Africans score a lot of of Neat Eastern ancestry, SSA and some European too:

It all depends on the model (the pic you posted doesn't seem to be accurate) and I was more talking about maghrebis (egyptians are close to levantines and most lybians are not really berber) but based on plenty of calcs NAs tend to always score a high amount of berber ancestry while other meds rarely score as much as us when it comes to their native component just look at iberians, italians or levantines here. Go check my results on my thread too and you'll see

The model I showed used all historical Berber samples available, even using the ones in Sardinia and Iberia that at worst would absorb European admixture. Also the model is incredibly consistent showing a East-to-West decrease. It's interesting to see that Egyptians and Lybians are also part of this gradient, after all we had Berber dynasties in Egypt.

Some African populations simply have no modern reference, I only really used them plus they have virtually no recent non-African admixture. I find hard to see any actual fault in the model, the labels on the samples were not made by me and I have problems finding the geograpic location of some of them as well.
Ultimately though they do show that all North Africans(and Canarians and Maltese) have considerable admixture that all those samples, from Iberomaurusian to Guanches, don't have, which is a good indication it comes from outside North African, considering the very good fits. I can give you the complete source references, the label on top of them is just for convenience.

If the South-Italy reference is based on West Sicilian, it kinda does make sense, but Central-Italian couldn't be Tuscan. It's usually Tuscany > North Italian > West Sicilian > Abruzzo/Lazio/Etc for me on other calculators.

It’s strange because normally it’s a cline (even if it’s not perfect) so seeing a sourhern average closer than a central Italian one, it’s quite odd.

I don't believe much in genetic clines, especially when you're a mutt like me. You can even plot in a pre-existing group "halfway between" your ancestors, but it won't necessarily be a fit. In my case, my Baltic and Levant are considerably higher than the average population where I plot on because of my ancestry, and this brings Veneto and Sicilian close to me before certain regions that you would judge as in between them in this imaginary genetic cline, and that's perfectly fine because I have direct ancestry from these regions (Sicily not so much).

No trust me it's not a good model ask any specialist you'll see and Iberomaurusians weren't berbers ...they mixed with capsians who were the proto-berbers and came from the Near East but even if you want to focus on them this is what a new study show :

An international team of scientists has for the first time performed an analysis of the complete genome of the population of North Africa. They have identified a small genetic imprint of the inhabitants of the region in Palaeolithic times, thus ruling out the theory that recent migrations from other regions completely erased the genetic traces of ancient North Africans. To resolve this, we generated the first genome-wide sequence data and mitochondrial genomes from eleven archaeological Guanche individuals originating from Gran Canaria and Tenerife. Five of the individuals (directly radiocarbon dated to a time transect spanning the 7th–11th centuries CE) yielded sufficient autosomal genome coverage (0.21× to 3.93×) for population genomic analysis. Our results show that the Guanches were genetically similar over time and that they display the greatest genetic affinity to extant Northwest Africans, strongly supporting the hypothesis of a Berber-like origin.

The Guanches’ Berber-like affinity is further supported by ADMIXTURE [29] analysis (Figures 3 and S3), where Guanches largely behave like modern Berbers across all values of K. At K = 10, a Northwest African-specific ancestry component makes up the greatest amount of autosomal ancestry in the Guanche and Berber populations in the HO dataset, such as the Mozabite and Saharawi. It is also ubiquitous across other Northwest African populations with Berber ancestry, such as Algerians and Tunisians, consistent with the PCA results.

No trust me it's not a good model ask any specialist you'll see and Iberomaurusians weren't berbers ...they mixed with capsians who were the proto-berbers and came from the Near East but even if you want to focus on them this is what a new study show :
