A friend who says she is ethnic French shown me her autosomal results. In most calculators she is closest to Greeks. Is it possible?

Only if she is from southern France and has south Italian ancestry (they are close to Greeks). Lot of Italians were present in cities like Marseille.
But, plotting like Greek is not possible for ethnic French.

Nope a regular French will plot around his neighbours not Greeks, maybe in Anaximanders theory.

France has many migrants, many of whom may be assimilated into the French nation. Probably her grandparents came to France from elsewhere or were Jewish for example.

We are talking about French natives, no foreigners or anyone with a foreign origin.

A French native does not clust near the Greeks, I have never seen that. Besides, even an individual with a single Greek grandparent did not cluster near the Greeks.

There are French people of origin (français de souche) and those who are mixed (including me).

Well, we don't know that particular person, do we?

Probably a person of Central/Southern Italian or Ashkenazi/Ashkenazi-French mixed ancestry.

Impossible.

And I would say that his ancestry is even near-eastern or more strange than that, because half French/Half Ashkenazi-Southern Italian you won't end up being particuliarly close to Greeks for sure.
