Unpassable as a group in Greece

very Romanian looking but more robust both in face and in body (wider).

mostly at the crossroads of Gorid and Mediterranean, Dinaric is weak or very weak, here and there less common types pop up.

IMO, they aren't as weird as you make them up to be and certainly more passable than those groups that contain loads of people with Russian features. Many have long faces too.

Post of one Bulgarian user on most frequent Serbian forum: "As regards Balkan people, those are Bulgarians, Serbs, Greeks, Albanians and Croatians, other ethnicities doesn't exist. Bulgarians, Serbs and Croatians have states since middle age, Greece was founded in 1831, and Albania in 1912. Bosniaks are mostly of Serbian origin and small part of Croatian origin, Montenegrins are Serbs. Macedonians and Romanians are of Bulgarian origin."

He is from Bulgaria, but he speak Serbian pretty good, due to years spent on Serbian forum.

They are very Russian looking to be Greek ,right.
They have a slavic vibe.

And imagine people from Sofia, call people from Plovdid as Cingari.
Its very common when Levski Sofia plays with Plovdiv, the first call the later as Cingari.

People in the last Photo, in Stara Zagora look like Russians.
Bulgaria is like Little Russia in the Balkans.

I think the closest relatives of Bulgarians lay in the east, not on the west.
The Bulgarians are phenotypical brothers with southern Russians, people from Donbass and the Novorussiya.

Good point. I am also aware they are not identical to Serbs, but I still sense Pribislavs sneaky agenda to draw some imaginery line of racial differences between Bulgarians.

I remember he said once difference is no like between S and N Italians, but still pretty huge. Well.....

Link with that "my statement" would be useful!?

I probably compared Serbs and Albanians, you confuse that with Bulgarians. Serbs and Albanians are autosomally most different neighbours in Europe after Slovenians and Italians, it's a well known fact.

Hm, honestly I don't really think this is typical Bulgarian look (perhaps in that region, no chance whole Bulgaria look like this). As for phenotypes - mainly med and baltid types (and combinations between those), with few turanic influenced persons (mostly in eye area). Very unpassable in Serbia as group. Btw, quick search with query ,,Bulgarians'' on Google gave me these pictures (another proof this is not main look in Bulagria):

Are Bulgarians from northern flat part of Bulgaria there since middle age, settlers from mountain parts of Bulgaria after Ottomans, or mix of both?

In Ottoman time Serbs mostly lived in mountains, and from there they populated lower and flat parts of Serbia (minus Vojvodina) and Bosnia in the last few decades of Ottoman rule and after Ottomans.

Plovdiv was mostly Turkish-Greek-Jewish-Armenian town 150 years ago.

In Belgrade in most period of Ottoman rule lived Muslims (mostly islamized Serbs), Aromanians, Sephardic Jews, and Catholic merchants from Dubrobnik. This last disappeared in late 17th century. Orthodox Serbs were tiny minority in Ottoman Belgrade.
The oldest Belgrade families have Aromanian and Jewish roots. Muslims are removed, they migrated to the Bosnia in 1860s.
