Have we moved to a parallel Universe?

Sometimes I get the feeling that somewhere about a couple of months ago or so, something strange happened, and I, from my old normal and stable Universe, ended up in some other parallel Universe where epidemics and other cataclysms are happening and where already the End of Days is near! :)

Can be that true??
