Anyone else into it?
I'm talking about music by such composers as Alan Hovhaness (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Hovhaness), Henryk Górecki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorecki) or Arvo Pärt (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arvo_Pärt).
More info on Wiki under the header Holy Minimalism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_minimalism).

I'd never heard of it. However, I like this piece by Gorecki.

And I love Gregorian chant, so Arvo Paert is right down my alley.

That's from his 3rd Symphony, his most famous work by far.
It's about the Holocaust, but let's not allow that to bother us, shall we? ;)

I must say, I'm almost prepared to rate the Latvian Pēteris Vasks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pēteris_Vasks) above his Estonian colleague Pärt in this genre. I love his third symphony!

he did manage to create an almost holy-ground soundtrack, like the one you expect of an epic movie about pre-indoeuropeans roaming through the steppes :D

I am a fan of Arvo Pärt.
