Well, Tovia would be more like Che Guevara in this case. Less dangerous looking. Like Winnie-the-Pooh, you know?

The older i get the more i realize that you can have almost any interpretation of the Bible and claim it's the right one. I'm not giving up on my faith because of this, but it's something i have realized. I'm still quite optimistic, i believe it's possible to get things together and to understand the Bible logically. It's quite a ride tho, but it's worth it as a theist - you get to learn more about things regarding the history, natural sciences and theology at the same time.

As a Christian i do believe that Jesus can be Messiah based on the Bible. I see it as one logical solution. I personally still hold to this view.

Some messianic takes on the topic.

To be honest with you the doctrine of the Trinity is a tricky subject, not gonna lie. For me in order to integrate these 3 personalities together it would need some sort of mind split type of solution. I would probably rather go with the ideas Isaac Newton had rather than invent something too crazy of my own. Isaac could actually help me to get me out of this theological swamp. His ideas are quite Jewish feeling as well by the way, just with a Jesus as a Messiah. It's hard to really say whether his views were closer to Judaism or Christianity, since he had a Messiah most Jews in general don't accept as a Messiah, but on another hand his Messiah on earth wasn't fully God which would go against typical Christian teachings. Islam is not an option here- he didn't believe in Mohammed. Isaac also got rid of the concept of demons, this seems to be a common thought in Judaism these days. I personally dislike this approach and don't really know why so many Rabbis are getting rid of angelic beings- Judaism has traditionally been full of angels after all, not even mentioning Kabbalah. I don't see them being as a threat to God. Anyway, Judaism has helped me a lot when dealing with all kind of theological problems, it feels more elastic than Christianity at best. I don't however want to give up on my beliefs where Jesus has a special place in God's plan. And i also don't feel like letting go of personal evil, many Jews and some scientific thoughts seem to see this idea as Persian/ Zoroastrian invention. I don't know what's the real story behind this, but i have heard that in Judaism angels (again it seems they are not really angels but projections of God's will many times) don't have free will and thus only obey, in Christianity they are given free will so demons are kinda going against God, not working for him which again from modern Jewish point of view is some sort of Persian creation alien to original Judaism. Many Christians however do accept theistic evolution as God's original creation so you get suffering as a natural result of creation. This view is not the same as rejecting personal evil of course, but Satan is not responsible for all suffering here. It's just like everything including suffering is in God's hands in this view, just like Judaism suggests. We can affect on how much suffering we have, but there is still always suffering. Temporary suffering, hopefully so. These type of things i had to think about a lot in order to make my own views work.

What do you think about these things personally? Sorry for jumping and mentioning almost all relevant theological issues, i just felt like sharing and possibly later hearing your own ideas if you happen to be a theist yourself. I feel like Judaism has a lot to offer even to Christians today. Not sure about Kabbalah tho- their concept of God feels closer to Brahman or something, too cold, but Jewish takes on soul and life in general, these thoughts are very beautiful. Jews in general didn't believe in the "Greek" concept of soul back then if i have understood it right, but now they do and it makes more sense to believe in that concept to me personally. It's present in Christianity to some degree, if it wasn't i would probably feel even closer to Judaism today.
