So according to 23andMe:
my Y: J2 M241
my X: J1

I am fine with the Y, it is pretty specific. However the maternal one is kinda garbage (Just J1? seriously?) and I'm wondering if there's any way I can get a more specific version

There is a tool from dnagenics that is free for download that can give you more info your maternal line. I think the software only runs on windows though.
